Boris Diaw led six Charlotte players in double figures with 27 points as the Bobcats halted a four-game losing streak, defeating the host New York Knicks 118-110 on Wednesday night.

New York (2-4) lost for the fourth time in five games despite the return of Amar'e Stoudemire, who scored 25 points. Stoudemire missed the previous two games with a sprained left ankle.

Carmelo Anthony scored 32 points to lead the Knicks, who were booed by the Madison Square Garden crowd for the second straight game.

Charlotte coach Paul Silas questioned his team's effort following its 115-101 loss in Cleveland on Tuesday. The Bobcats had been outscored by an average of 24.7 points in their previous three games, but cruised Wednesday after Gerald Henderson's dunk broke a 26-all tie late in the first quarter.

Charlotte shot 55 percent from the field.

Diaw, who was scoreless in 18 minutes Tuesday, hit 12-of-15 from the field, including all three of his 3-point attempts. Henderson added 24 points.

Charlotte's Corey Maggette suffered a left hamstring injury early in the third quarter and didn't return.
