Kevin Love collected 24 points and 15 rebounds and Luke Ridnour added 19 points and nine assists as the Minnesota Timberwolves picked up their second straight win 106-96 over the visiting San Antonio Spurs on Monday.
Michael Beasley chipped in 19 points for the Timberwolves, who had gone 284 days without a victory before taking down the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday.
The Spurs, who had beaten Minnesota 16 straight times, suffered a costly injury when veteran guard Manu Ginobili broke a bone in his left shooting hand. He will be re-evaluated Tuesday.
For the second night in a row, the Timberwolves had no problem scoring against a Western Conference power, shooting 58 percent from the field, including 12 of 21 from beyond the arc.
Love led the charge, knocking down 8 of 15 overall and 4 of 9 from 3-point range.
Minnesota led 66-59 at the half and extended it in the third quarter, getting 3-pointers from Love and Wesley Johnson during a 10-0 run midway through the frame that pushed it to 85-68.
San Antonio closed within 100-90 with 6:58 left but made only one field goal the rest of the way.
Tim Duncan and Richard Jefferson scored 16 points each for the Spurs.
