LeBron James scored 32 points and hit the go-ahead basket to lead the Miami Heat to a 95-87 victory over the visiting Charlotte Bobcats.
Chris Bosh added 22 points and a season-high 14 rebounds as the Heat (8-4) won their third consecutive contest. The victory also moved Miami into a second-place tie with Atlanta in the Southeast Division, a half-game behind the Orlando Magic.
Stephen Jackson scored a season-high 30 points to pace the Bobcats (4-8).
Miami had to fight off a second-half charge from Charlotte after building a 19-point halftime lead. The Bobcats whittled away and actually pulled ahead 82-80 on Jackson’s 3-pointer with 4:56 remaining.
James hit a short basket with 3:27 left to give the Heat an 84-83 lead that they never relinquished. Miami finished the contest on a 13-4 run.
Nazr Mohammed added 12 points for Charlotte.
Gerald Wallace of the Bobcats had a season-low six points on 2-of-9 shooting before fouling out.
Miami’s Dwyane Wade scored just 11 points.
