Amar'e Stoudemire scored 23 points and Ronny Turiaf added season highs of 19 points and 10 rebounds as the New York Knicks topped the host Portland Trail Blazers, 100-86, on Tuesday.
Raymond Felton chipped in 17 points and 14 assists and Wilson Chandler also scored 17 points for the Knicks, who have won four of five. They had lost nine of their last 10 visits to the Rose Garden.
New York led by as many as 12 points early in the second quarter before Portland closed to 56-50 at the half and opened the third quarter with a 7-0 run to grab the lead.
But the Knicks jumped right back in it, taking the lead for good on Chandler’s 3-pointer at the seven-minute mark and going into the final frame with a 75-66 edge.
The Blazers made a brief push, pulling within 81-76 with under seven minutes to play. But the Knicks went on a 15-4 burst over the next three minutes to put it away. Chandler, Stoudemire and Turiaf scored four points apiece and Felton drained a 3-pointer and handed out four assists during the spurt.
LaMarcus Aldridge collected 19 points and 10 rebounds for Portland.
