Jrue Holiday recorded his first career triple-double and Lou Williams scored 26 points off the bench as the visiting Philadelphia 76ers continued their resurgence and recent domination of the New Jersey Nets with a 106-92 victory Wednesday night.
Holiday, who led the 76ers in scoring in each of the first two games against the Nets, finished with 11 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds as the Sixers improved to 3-0 against the Nets this season and stretched their winning streak in the series to seven games.
Elton Brand had 15 points and 10 rebounds, Andre Iguodala added 16 points and Jodie Meeks 15 for Philadelphia, which grabbed nine offensive rebounds and committed just one turnover in the first half.
Philadelphia closed the first half on a 15-6 run to take a 53-44 lead. The Sixers opened the third quarter with a 16-4 run for a 68-47 lead with 6:44 remaining. Nets coach Avery Johnson was ejected for the first time this season during the run.
Holiday drained a 3-pointer from the left corner with nine-tenths of a second left to finish the half with nine points, six rebounds and five assists. Meeks scored nine in the second-half burst and Iguodala capped it with a reverse jam off a fast-break feed from Holiday.
The Sixers had 35 fast-break points as they won for the fifth time in six games and improved to 19-13 since a 3-13 start.
Devin Harris and Brook Lopez scored 16 points each for the Nets, who had won five of their last six at home. Lopez, who shot just 8 of 19, entered averaging 25 points on 56.4 percent shooting in his last 10 games. Harris had seven assists after totaling 34 in his last two games.
