Stephen Jackson returned from a one-game suspension to score 25 points and lead the Charlotte Bobcats to a 91-84 overtime victory over the New Jersey Nets on Friday.
Boris Diaw collected 11 points, 16 rebounds and eight assists and Gerald Wallace finished with 13 points and 13 boards for the Bobcats.
Neither team could do much on the offensive end in the first half, with Charlotte shooting 26.7 percent (12 of 45) and New Jersey at 31 percent (12 of 39) at the break.
Charlotte broke out in the third, draining three 3-pointers during a 15-4 spurt to begin the frame. The Bobcats would stretch the lead to as much as 13 points on three occasions in the third and took a 60-48 lead into the final 12 minutes.
The lead was as big as 64-48 after Jackson nailed a 3-pointer but the Nets would battle back, pulling to within two after Jordan Farmar hit a 3-pointer with 16 seconds left. After Gerald Wallace missed two free throws, Travis Outlaw was fouled and hit the free throws to send it to overtime.
Outlaw scored 21 and Anthony Morrow had 19 to lead New Jersey.
