Evander Kane scored twice, including the tiebreaking power-play goal with 7:57 remaining, as the Edmonton Oilers extended their winning streak to five games by rallying for a 6-3 victory over the visiting New Jersey Devils on Saturday afternoon.
Kane scored his 11th and 12th goals since making his debut with Edmonton on Jan. 29. He scored late in the second period and then tallied again when the Oilers held the puck for the entire man advantage after Leon Draisaitl drew a tripping penalty on New Jersey defenseman P.K. Subban.
Kane's game-winner was part of a three-goal flurry in a span of 3:48 after New Jersey scored twice in the opening 3:14 of the third.
Kane snapped a 3-3 tie when he moved to the right circle and waited for a cross-ice pass from McDavid. McDavid's pass hopped off the stick of New Jersey forward Michael McLeod and Kane lifted a backhander into the net.
Before Kane scored his second goal, Tyson Barrie netted the tying goal. After Kane scored again, Zach Hyman scored on a deflection 49 seconds later.
Draisaitl scored his 41st goal while McDavid added an empty-netter and collected two assists as Edmonton matched its longest winning streak of the season and improved to 12-5-1 under coach Jay Woodcroft.
Edmonton goalie Mikko Koskinen made 25 saves.
Jesper Bratt scored twice and set up Nico Hischier's tiebreaking tally 3:14 into the third but New Jersey dropped its sixth straight road game.
Gillies allowed five goals on 39 shots.
After Draisaitl scored 1:11 into the game, Bratt scored his first goal of the game four minutes later by finishing off a breakaway.
Kane gave Edmonton a 2-1 lead with 2:12 remaining in the second when he forced a turnover from Hischier near the neutral zone and tucked a wraparound into the right side of the net. Kane was not initially credited with a goal but the play was reviewed and it was determined the puck crossed the goal line as Gillies' pad was in the net.
New Jersey tied it 26 seconds into the third when Bratt retrieved the puck from behind the net after Ryan Graves missed the net and slipped a backhander that banked off Koskinen's right arm and New Jersey took the lead on Hischier's backhander before Edmonton stormed back.
