John Klingberg's power-play goal late in the second period capped a four-goal explosion by Dallas after a ragged start as the Stars roared from behind to beat the visiting Anaheim Ducks 5-3 on Saturday.

Klingberg, who also had an assist, put the Stars on top with 2:14 to play in the second period when he took a pass from Alexander Radulov and fired a long shot from the point that found the back of the net through traffic.

Dallas outshot the Ducks 51-25.

Goaltender Anton Khudobin, who signed a two-year, $5 million contract with the Stars in the offseason, made his first start for Dallas and survived a rocky beginning to earn the win with 22 saves.

Anaheim scored three goals in the first 28 minutes, but gave that advantage back, and more, in just 6 1/2 minutes in the second period.

The Ducks opened the scoring at the 9:01 mark of the first period when Jakob Silfverberg circled patiently with the puck at the points before whipping a wrist shot and past Khudobin. Hampus Lindholm and Max Comtois got assists on the tally. Kiefer Sherwood added to the advantage 4 1/2 minutes later off assists from Josh Manson and Isac Lundestrom.

Anaheim went up 3-0 at the 8:09 mark of the second period when Adam Henrique beat Khudobin for a power-play goal off assists by Sam Steel and Lindholm, and the Stars looked dead in the water.

All that changed in a hurry, beginning with Radulov's power-play goal three minutes later, with assists from Tyler Seguin and Klingberg.

Connor Carrick lit the lamp at the 13:52 mark of the second (with Valeri Nichushkin and Jason Spezza garnering the assists) to cut the lead to 3-2. Jamie Benn scored nine seconds later to tie the score, with Seguin and Blake Comeau getting assists.

Radek Faska added an insurance goal for the Stars with 1:28 remaining in the game off assists from Benn and Esa Lindell.

The Ducks don't have a lot of time to figure out what went wrong on Saturday as they hit the ice Sunday in St. Louis. Dallas returns to action on Monday when it plays its first road contest of the season, at Ottawa.
