Roberson added 11 rebounds and two blocked shots while Shawn Smith had 13 points and Alex Caruso and Antwan Space chipped in 11 apiece for Texas A&M (1-0). The Aggies shot 47.8 percent from the floor.
Javon McCrea led the Bulls (0-1) with 14 points and senior guard Joshua Freelove had 11 points. Jarryn Skeete added nine points for Buffalo, which was outscored 43-27 in the second half.
The first half was a back-and-forth battle with neither team able to take a lead of more than eight points, as the Aggies converted nine Bulls' turnovers into eight points. After Skeete's 3-pointer gave Buffalo a 30-25 lead with 3:12 left in the half, Texas A&M went on a 14-6 run to take a 39-31 lead into the intermission.
Buffalo opened the second half by outscoring Texas A&M, 18-9, for a brief 49-48 lead on a three-point play off of Freelove's dunk and free throw with 13:19 remaining. The Bulls were still within 53-52 midway through the half, but the Aggies pulled away from there with three straight layups from Space sparking Texas A&M on a game-ending 29-6 run.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Aggies 6-8 junior college transfer Jamal Jones came off the bench for nine points and four rebounds. ... Greene's 15 points were a career-high for the junior. ... The game marked the first meeting ever between the two schools.
