Iowa 74, Nebraska 60: Aaron White scored 19 points as the host Hawkeyes used a big second-half run to pull away from the Cornhuskers.
Iowa (20-11, 9-9 Big Ten) clinched at least a tie for sixth in the conference with the win, the Hawkeyes' sixth in eight games. Adam Woodbury scored 12 points on 6-for-6 shooting fwhile Melsahn Basabe added 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Nebraska (14-17, 5-13) got 22 points from Ray Gallegos, who shot 7-for-14 from 3-point range. Dylan Talley added 11 for the Cornhuskers.
The Hawkeyes jumped out to a 12-3 lead in the early minutes of the game and led throughout the first half, taking the nine-point lead into the second half.
Nebraska finally pulled within two at 46-44 with 14:21 to play in the game, but the Hawkeyes responded with a game-changing 17-0 run, holding the Cornhuskers scoreless for 8:34. Nebraska was 0-for-8 from the field and turned the ball over four times during the scoreless stretch.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Iowa shot 57.1 percent from the field. … Iowa G Roy Devyn Marble entered the game averaging 14.4 points, but shot 2-for-9 and finished with six points. Marble still reached the 1,000-point plateau, joining his father, Roy Sr., as the only father-son combo in Big Ten history to both score 1,000 career points.
