Andre Young had 18 points and Milton Jennings added 15 to lead four players in double figures and Clemson had no trouble defeating Florida State 79-59 in its ACC opener at Littlejohn Coliseum.

The Tigers (9-6, 1-0) avenged a loss to the Seminoles in the conference opener a year ago, not letting their big second-half lead fall below 14 points and going up by as many as 22 points.

Florida State (9-6, 0-1) struggled shooting ball, finishing 22-of-62 (35%) from the field and 5-of-19 on 3-pointers. Ian Miller came off the bench to score a team-high 16 points for the Seminoles.

The host Tigers’ defense set the tone right away with a dominant first half, holding Florida State to 30 percent shooting from the field and just 2-of-10 from behind the arc. Meanwhile, the offense went on a 20-0 run over a seven-minute span, turning a two-point advantage into a 32-10 lead at the six-minute mark.
