DeAngelo Casto had 11 points and 10 rebounds, and visiting Washington State withstood a late Oregon State rally to post a 61-55 victory Saturday.
Reggie Moore scored 14 and Faisal Aden had 10, including four free throws down the stretch, for the Cougars (16-7, 6-5 Pac-10).
Freshman forward Devon Collier had 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Beavers (9-13, 4-7), who never led in the second half and finished 2 for 17 from 3-point range. Sophomore guard Jared Cunningham had 12 points and five steals.
Oregon State trailed 52-41 with 5:04 remaining, and closed to within 57-55 after a Roberto Nelson layup with 23 seconds remaining.
The Cougars led 31-15 in the first half before the Beavers went on a 12-1 run over the final five minutes of the half.
Washington State hosts Stanford and Oregon State plays at Southern Cal on Thursday.
