Chris Warren scored 22 points and hit a long 3-pointer with 2.9 seconds remaining to lift Mississippi to a 71-69 upset win over No. 11 Kentucky on Tuesday night in Oxford, Miss.
Ole Miss (14-8, 2-5 SEC) almost lost a nine-point lead in the last 6:31 of regulation and fell behind 69-68 after a pair of free throws from Kentucky standout freshman Terrence Jones with 1:21 remaining.
That capped a 14-4 run to give the Wildcats (16-5, 4-3) the lead for the first time since early in the second half.
Warren, who ranks No. 5 on the all-time 3-point field goals list in SEC history, hit the 300th of his career with the game on the line as the Rebels knocked off Kentucky for the second straight time in Oxford.
Zach Graham added 16 while Reginald Buckner and Terrance Henry added 12 points apiece for Ole Miss. Buckner also had five blocked shots.
Jones led Kentucky with 22 points, 12 rebounds and blocked five shots while Doron Lamb came off the bench to score 20 points, but he missed on a potential game-winning 3-pointer as time expired.
