D’walyn Roberts' putback with 4 seconds left gave Texas Tech a 72-71 victory over visiting Nebraska on Saturday for its first Big 12 win of the season.
After Brandon Richardson made three free throws to give the Cornhuskers a 71-70 lead with 11 seconds left, Texas Tech's Mike Singletary drove to the basket and missed a layup attempt, but Roberts was there for the rebound and winning basket.
John Roberson scored a game-high 25 points for Texas Tech (9-11, 1-5 Big 12), and keyed a comeback after Nebraska took a 62-57 lead with 7:20 left.
The Red Raiders held Nebraska scoreless for nearly five minutes, and went on a 10-0 run capped by a Roberson 3-pointer.
Nebraska, which entered the game No. 3 in the nation in points allowed per game at 56.1, forced 18 turnovers, but allowed more than 70 points for only the third time this season.
Richardson scored 20 points and Lance Jeter added 19 for the Cornhuskers (14-5, 2-3), who play their next three games against ranked foes.
