Corey Raji had 16 points and 12 rebounds, and Joe Trapani scored a game-high 23 points as Boston College routed host South Carolina 85-70 Sunday.
Trapani was 9 for 18 from the field as the Eagles (11-3, 1-0) bounced back from their 57-55 loss at Rhode Island on Wednesday. Biko Paris scored 18 points, and Reggie Jackson had 14 points and six rebounds for Boston College, which shot 51.6 percent from the field and led 77-48 with 8:13 remaining.
Bruce Ellington had a team-high 21 points, and Lakeem Jackson had 12 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Gamecocks (8-4). Ramon Galloway had 15 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals, and Malik Cooke had 13 points and seven rebounds.
Boston College hosts Harvard on Wednesday before opening its Atlantic Coast Conference season at against Georgia Tech at home on Saturday.
South Carolina hosts South Carolina State on Tuesday and opens its Southeastern Conference season Saturday when it hosts Vanderbilt.
