North Carolina State overcame a double-digit halftime deficit and rolled past Youngstown State 67-50, Thursday in Raleigh, N.C.
The Wolfpack trailed 34-21 at half, but turned it on in the second half and pulled away late from the visiting Penguins.
North Carolina State (6-3, 0-0 ACC) held Youngstown State to only 16 points in the second half and 24.7 percent shooting for the game.
Freshman guard Ryan Harrow, the reigning ACC Rookie of the Week, and C.J. Leslie led the Wolfpack with 14 points a piece. Leslie also had a career-high 19 rebounds. Point guard Javier Gonzalez added 11 points for North Carolina State, which has responded from consecutive losses to Syracuse and Wisconsin with wins over USC-Upstate and Youngstown State.
Youngstown State (5-5, 0-2 Horizon) was led by Vytas Sulskis, who had 14. Sulskis was the only Penguin in double figures.
The Wolfpack host Arizona Sunday. The Penguins will try to bounce back at Kent State Tuesday.
