Gerald Robinson scored 21 points to lead four Georgia players in double figures, as the Bulldogs almost squandered a 17-point first-half lead but held on for a 83-74 home victory against Colorado on Tuesday.
The Buffaloes (1-1) missed 13 of their first 15 shots, allowing Georgia to build a 27-10 lead.
Robinson, who sat out last season after transferring from Tennessee State, went 6 of 10 from the field and hit a pair of 3-pointers. One of his 3-pointers came seconds after Alec Burks had given Colorado its first lead of the second half at 62-61. Robinson also dished out a team-high six assists.
Burks scored a game-high 23 points on 6-of-14 shooting and added five rebounds. Cory Higgins added 15 points and four steals for Colorado, and Austin Default had 11 points and five rebounds.
Guard Travis Leslie added 19 points and seven rebounds for the Bulldogs (2-0), forward Jeremy Price had 17 points, and forward Chris Barnes scored 10 off the bench.
