Indians 12, Twins 6: Ryan Raburn, Jason Kipnis, Mike Aviles and Drew Stubbs each had two RBIs and Carlos Santana doubled in a run while scoring three times as visiting Cleveland moved into a tie for the top wild-card spot in the American League.

Asdrubal Cabrera went 3-for-5 with an RBI and scored twice for the Indians, who are tied atop the wild-card race with the Tampa Bay Rays – a game up on the Texas Rangers with two to play. Corey Kluber (11-5) allowed six runs on 10 hits in 5 1/3 innings but still ended up with the win.

Pedro Florimon drove in three and Alex Presley chipped in two RBIs, but Minnesota could not overcome Pedro Hernandez (3-3) surrendering six runs on seven hits in 1 2/3 innings. Trevor Plouffe had three hits as the Twins fell for the eighth time in nine games.

Cleveland got to Hernandez for four runs in the first inning as Kipnis began the onslaught with an RBI triple and came home on Santana’s double. Cabrera and Yan Gomes added RBI hits to complete the uprising.

Raburn singled in a pair during a three-run second and Aviles’ two-run single in the fifth made it 9-1. Minnesota battled back with two runs in the fifth and three more in the sixth, but Kipnis added an RBI double in the eighth and Stubbs hit a two-run homer in the ninth to put it away.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Indians LF Michael Brantley went 1-for-5 to extend his hitting streak to 11 straight games. … Cleveland announced prior to the game that it would go to a closer-by committee system. Five relievers worked behind Kluber, with Justin Masterson taking the eighth and Matt Albers finishing off the ninth. … Presley is 4-for-8 with three RBIs in the first two games of the series for the Twins.
