James Blackmon Jr. scored a career-high 33 points as Indiana bounced back from a disappointing performance in last week's Maui Invitational to beat Alcorn State 112-70 Monday night at Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind.
Blackmon, a sophomore guard, hit 11 of 16 shots from the field and went 6-for-9 from 3-point range. His previous season high had been 20 against Austin Peay while his career high had been 26 as a freshman against SMU.
Indiana (5-2) shot 67.2 percent from the field, hitting 39 of 58 shots. The 112 points was a season high and marked the second time in seven games that Indiana has scored more than 100 in a game.
Blackmon led six Indiana players in double figures. Yogi Ferrell and Thomas Bryant each had 13 points, Robert Johnson had 12, Troy Williams had 11 and Collin Hartman added 10. Williams led the Hoosiers with eight rebounds.

Indiana is back in action Wednesday night when it travels to Duke to play in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
