Texas Tech 91, Nebraska Omaha 63: Junior forward Jaye Crockett had a career-high 22 points and the host Red Raiders used 17 turnovers to run away from the Mavericks.
Freshman guard Josh Gray (15 points) and junior forward Dejan Kravic (20) also had career scoring bests in the win. Kravic had eight of his team's first 10 second-half points for a 53-44 lead and Gray later knocked down one of his three 3-pointers during a 14-1 run that helped Texas Tech (2-0) pull away.
Crockett, who went 9-of-12 from the floor, scored seven straight points off the bench early and had back-to-back baskets off Gray's passes late in the first half as Texas Tech led by as many as 13.
Justin Simmons led the Mavericks (1-2) with 13 points. He scored the last six points of the first half, including a fast-break dunk off a turnover to cut the Red Raiders' lead to 43-37.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Gray added seven rebounds, seven assists and two steals in his second career start ... The Red Raiders had nine turnovers, including five in first half, after having 17 in their opener ... The trip to United Spirit Arena was the first of 10 straight road games for Mavericks.
