Hamilton had 22 points and 10 rebounds, and Thompson added 13 points and 11 boards for Texas, which led 43-20 at halftime after shooting 62.1 percent (18 for 29).

The Longhorns (26-6) never trailed, scoring nine consecutive points to build an 11-2 lead. They pushed the lead to 20-10 with 8:36 left in the first half and never let the margin dip into single digits the rest of the way.

Cade Davis scored 17 points, and Andrew Fitzgerald added 10 for the 10th-seeded Sooners (14-18), who were 3 for 13 from 3-point range a night after going 9 for 18 from beyond the arc in a first-round win against Baylor.

Texas advances to the Big 12 tournament semifinals for the fifth time in six years, where the Longhorns will face either Texas A&M or Missouri on Friday.
