Rotnei Clarke and Marshawn Powell scored 14 points apiece as Arkansas stepped out of conference and crushed Florida A&M, 94-55, in Fayetteville on Wednesday.
Delvon Johnson added 13 points and Jeff Peterson joined him in double figures with 10 for the Razorbacks (16-9), who have won two straight since a three-game slide.
While a victory over the Rattlers (11-15) won’t do much for Arkansas’ strength of schedule and its hopes for an at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament, it could give the team some much-needed confidence for a stretch run that includes a visit to SEC West-leading Alabama on Saturday and a home game against Kentucky next Wednesday.
Arkansas put it away in the first half, running the lead up to 45-11 before the break. Florida A&M shot just 4 of 28 (14 percent ) in the first 20 minutes while the Razorbacks had no such trouble, shooting 63 percent (19 of 30) from the floor.
Avery Moore was the only player to reach double figures with 11 points on 4-of-11 shooting for Florida A&M, which finished 6 of 23 from 3-point range.
