Just imagine how much better this would look with Josh Selby.

Kansas whitewashed Colorado State 76-55 in the M&I Bank Kansas City Shootout at the Sprint Center Saturday. The fourth-ranked Jayhawks improved to 9-0, while the Rams fell to 4-3.

This was Kansas' final game without stud freshman Selby, who was ranked as the No. 1 prospect by Rivals.com Class of 2010 rankings. He had been suspended for nine games for receiving $5,000 in improper benefits.

The Jayhawks haven’t needed him much this season. They entered Saturday leading the Big 12 Conference in scoring (88.8 points per game), scoring margin (+28.3) and field-goal percentage (56.9 percent).

Excluding Saturday, they have scored no fewer than 77 points in a game this season.

Markieff Morris and Tyshawn Taylor led the Jayhawks with 12 points. Morris finished with 11 rebounds to complete a double-double.

Colorado State received a team-leading 12 points from Andy Ogide and 10 from Travis Franklin and Dorian Green. The Rams finished 17-of-60 in field-goal shooting for 28.3 percent.
