Bucks 104, Pistons 101: Caron Butler erupted for 30 points off the bench as host Milwaukee ended a nine-game losing streak.
Butler shot a red-hot 12-of-21 while adding seven rebounds and five assists for the Bucks, who were without forward Larry Sanders and guard O.J. Mayo due to illness. Brandon Knight added 16 points and nine assists against his former team while John Henson and Ersan Ilyasova had 12 points apiece.
Brandon Jennings torched his ex-teammates for 30 points in defeat as the Pistons fell for the 11th time in the past 15 games. Rodney Stuckey added 23 points in a reserve role and Greg Monroe chipped in with 18 points and nine rebounds.
Monroe's 10-point, four-rebound performance lifted the Pistons to a 28-25 first-quarter edge. Milwaukee rallied to take six different leads in the second quarter but couldn't hold any of them, as Jennings knocked down a pair of 3-pointers in the final 1:36 to send the Pistons into the break with a 56-50 advantage.
Detroit connected on five straight field goals and Jennings added another 3-pointer to make it a 76-63 game just past the midway point of the third quarter, but the Bucks responded with back-to-back Butler 3s to close out the quarter and trail 85-81 entering the fourth. The teams traded leads in the final quarter until Butler's 18-footer put Milwaukee ahead for good with 4:27 remaining, and Knight hit a jumper inside two minutes remaining to put the game away.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Detroit dominated fast-break points 27-8 but was done in from 3-point range, hitting just 4-of-15 attempts. ... Knight committed six of the Bucks' 19 turnovers. ... Pistons C Andre Drummond had 11 points and 12 rebounds for his Eastern Conference-leading 31st double-double.
