Marcin Gortat had 20 points and 16 rebounds to lead six players in double figures as the Phoenix Suns pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 108-98 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Aaron Brooks scored 19 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter, and Grant Hill and Hakim Warrick added 17 apiece as the Suns (38-40) snapped a two-game losing streak and sent Minnesota spiraling to its 12th consecutive defeat.
Michael Beasley had 24 points and 11 rebounds for the Timberwolves (17-62), which fell one-half game behind Cleveland for the league's worst record.
The Suns jumped out to an early 11-point lead in the first quarter and opened a 15-point cushion on Vince Carter's dunk with 3:41 left in the second quarter.
Minnesota responded with a 16-4 run to close the first half and pulled within 56-53 at the break.
