Mo Williams had 25 points and a season-high 12 assists and J.J. Hickson scored 16 points as the Cleveland Cavaliers survived missing 13 straight shots to start to the fourth quarter to beat the Memphis Grizzlies 92-86 on Saturday.
With the Cavs leading by three, Williams iced the game with a runner in the lane with 6.5 seconds left.
He played the entire third quarter for the Cavs and finished with 12 points and three assists in the frame, turning a 51-45 halftime deficit into a 75-67 lead at the start of the fourth quarter.
But with Williams on the bench to start the fourth, the Cavs didn’t score from the field until a drive by Hickson with 3:04 left. Hickson, who has rarely played in the fourth quarter over the last two weeks, had six points, two rebounds and a block in Saturday’s fourth quarter.
Rudy Gay had 17 points, Zach Randolph had 13 and O.J. Mayo added 13 off the bench for the Grizzlies, who had their three-game winning streak snapped.
