Luol Deng led a balanced attack with 24 points and Taj Gibson chipped in 16 and 14 rebounds off the bench as the host Chicago Bulls coasted to their fifth straight win, a 111-91 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday.
Derrick Rose added 19 points and Carlos Boozer added 12 and 13 boards for the Bulls, who have beaten the Raptors twice this season by an average of 18.5 points.
Chicago took control in the second quarter, closing with a 24-10 burst to turn a four-point game into a 59-41 halftime lead. Deng’s jumper early in the third period pushed the margin to 65-41 before the Raptors rallied and closed to 81-69 entering the final period.
But the Bulls took off again in the fourth, opening with a 21-9 run to put away the game. Deng scored five points and Gibson four during the spurt, with Deng joining the second unit for Chicago. Three reserves went for double figures.
Andrea Bargnani returned to the lineup after a five-game absence and scored 23 points while DeMar DeRozan added 18 for Toronto, which has lost three in a row and six of seven.
