Dwyane Wade led the way with 31 points and LeBron James added 23 points and 11 rebounds as the Miami Heat bounced back with a 109-100 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Saturday.
Chris Bosh added 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting and six rebounds in his first game against his former team. Bosh, who holds Toronto franchise records for points and rebounds, joined the Heat in free agency over the summer.
Miami made its move in the first quarter, with Bosh sinking the first basket of the game to spark a 7-0 run. James had 10 points in the first and Wade added seven as the Heat opened up a 34-25 lead. They would extend it to 63-50 at the half as Wade added 11 points in the second.
The Raptors hung around into the fourth and cut it to 97-89 on Andrea Brgnani’s jumper with 4:30 left, but Miami ran off an 8-2 run after that to put it away.
DeMar DeRozan finished with 21 points and Bargnani chipped in 22 points and nine rebounds for Toronto.
