Max Muncy, Yasmani Grandal, Chris Taylor and Joc Pederson homered, and the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 7-6 Monday night at Citizens Bank Park.
A ninth-inning wild pitch by Phillies right-hander Seranthony Dominguez (1-3) with the bases loaded scored Alex Verdugo to give the Dodgers a 6-5 lead. After Dominguez was replaced by Luis Garcia, Matt Kemp added a run-scoring single for a 7-5 advantage.
Maikel Franco led off the bottom of the ninth with a solo homer, his second of the game and 15th of the season, but Kenley Jansen retired the next three batters for his 29th save.
Los Angeles starter Ross Stripling gave up seven hits and five runs in 4 2/3 innings. Reliever Scott Alexander (2-0) earned the win by pitching a scoreless eighth inning.
Rhys Hoskins and Odubel Herrera each homered for the Phillies. Franco had three hits.
Phillies starter Zach Eflin lasted only 2 2/3 innings and allowed five hits and three runs -- all on solo homers -- before being lifted for Yacksel Rios.
Muncy and Grandal hit back-to-back home runs in the first inning as the Dodgers bolted to a 2-0 lead.
In the second, Taylor ripped the third homer off Eflin for a 3-0 advantage.
Franco homered in the bottom of the second, but Pederson responded with another solo shot in the fourth off Rios to increase the Dodgers' lead to 4-1.
Hoskins tied the game at 4 with a booming three-run home run to left off Stripling with two outs in the fifth. It was the 17th homer of the season and the third in the past four games for Hoskins.
Herrera followed with a solo home to center, and the Phillies led 5-4.
The Dodgers tied the game at 5 in the seventh on Muncy's sacrifice fly to center, scoring Manny Machado.
Dodgers second baseman Chase Utley, a former Phillie, went 0-for-4 but received several standing ovations in what is likely his last series in Philadelphia before retirement at the end of the season.
