SAN FRANCISCO -- The San Francisco Giants finally broke through against the Arizona Diamondbacks' pitching staff, ending a 35-inning scoreless drought with a four-run sixth inning that featured a home run by catcher Buster Posey in a 5-1 victory Sunday.

Right-hander Tim Hudson combined with three relievers on a six-hitter as the Giants salvaged one game against the Diamondbacks after having been shut out 2-0 and 6-0 to open the three-game series.

In fact, the Giants had not scored at home against the Diamondbacks since the sixth inning of their meeting on June 13.

Arizona's pitchers had recorded three consecutive shutouts since then, and right-hander Jeremy Hellickson took a one-hitter into the sixth inning Sunday before the streak -- and in turn the game -- got away from the Diamondbacks.

In a scoreless game, center fielder Angel Pagan led off the sixth with a single. He then came all the way around to score the streak-ending run on an RBI double into the left-field corner by left fielder Alejandro De Aza.

The 35-inning streak was the longest for an opponent in AT&T Park history and also the longest ever for the Diamondbacks at any road ballpark.

Right-hander Randall Delgado replaced Hellickson after De Aza's hit and walked third baseman Matt Duffy before serving up a three-run homer to Posey that increased the Giants' lead to 4-0.

The homer was Posey's 19th of the season, tying him with shortstop Brandon Crawford for the team lead.

Hudson (8-8) ran his streak of having allowed one run or fewer to three with his six shutout innings. He walked three and struck out three.

In recording his 222nd career win, tops among active pitchers, the 40-year-old ran his lifetime record against Arizona to 11-2 in 16 starts.

Right-handers Hunter Strickland, Sergio Romo and Santiago Casilla finished up with three innings of two-hit ball for the Giants, who completed a 6-3 homestand.

The Giants' bid for an 18th shutout this season ended, however, when Diamondbacks left fielder David Peralta homered off Casilla with one out in the ninth. The solo shot was Peralta's 16th home run of the season.

The Giants had added an insurance run in the last of the eighth on an RBI single by right fielder Jarrett Parker that scored Duffy, who had walked.

Pagan collected two of the Giants' six hits, a double and a single. Duffy scored two of the five runs.

The Giants have never been shut out in every game of a three-game home series in franchise history.

Hellickson (9-10) suffered the loss despite allowing just two runs on three hits in five-plus innings. He walked two and struck out five.

The Diamondbacks also had a streak of 27 consecutive scoreless innings snapped in the Giants' four-run sixth. They came within four of the all-time franchise record of 31, set in 2002.

Right fielder Ender Inciarte had three of Arizona's six hits, including one of their two extra-base hits, a double.

Peralta had a single to go with his home run.

Despite the loss, the Diamondbacks finished their season series against the Giants with an 11-8 advantage. Eight of those 11 wins came in the clubs' 10 matchups in San Francisco, where Arizona had won six in a row.
