Josh Harrison added two hits and two RBIs for the Pirates, who remained 2 1/2 games behind National League Central-leading Milwaukee. Liriano (2-7) struck out four and allowed one run and four hits to earn his first win since May 30.
Juan Uribe had two of the five hits for the Dodgers, who were 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position. Dan Haren (8-8) was tagged for five runs on four hits over five innings in losing his fourth straight start.
The Pirates jumped on Haren for four runs in the first, as the hurler walked Russell Martin with the bases loaded and Ike Davis added a sacrifice fly ahead of Harrison's two-run double. Snider's towering shot to right, which nearly left the stadium, made it 5-0 in the second.
Liriano didn't surrender a hit until Miguel Rojas doubled with one out in the fifth and kept the Dodgers off the board until Matt Kemp's RBI groundout in the sixth. Andrew McCutchen got the run back with an RBI double in the seventh, and Los Angeles couldn't muster any more offense.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Pirates improved to 15-0 when scoring in the first inning. … Dodgers SS Hanley Ramirez (hand) missed his third straight game, while OF Yasiel Puig (hand) was again held out of the starting lineup but drew a walk as a pinch hitter. … Pittsburgh placed OF Starling Marte on the seven-day concussion disabled list and recalled INF Brent Morel from Triple-A Indianapolis before the game.
