Rockies 6, Diamondbacks 3: Troy Tulowitzki delivered a go-ahead three-run double in the fifth inning and Wilin Rosario homered as visiting Colorado evened the four-game series.
Michael Cuddyer delivered a two-run single in the first inning for the Rockies, who won for only the second time in six games following their franchise-record 13-4 start. Juan Nicasio (3-0) allowed three runs (one earned) and four hits in five innings.
Eric Chavez homered and Alfredo Marte recorded an RBI single - both in the second inning - for Arizona, which had its three-game winning streak snapped. Diamondbacks starter Brandon McCarthy (0-3) allowed six runs and nine hits in six innings.
The Rockies loaded the bases with one out in the fifth inning and after Carlos Gonzalez struck out, Tulowitzki ripped McCarthy's first pitch into the left-center gap to clear the bases and make it 5-3. Rosario's fifth homer came on a 2-2 pitch leading off the sixth.
Arizona had runners on second and third with none out in the seventh before Matt Belisle got pinch hitter Cody Ross to pop out. After Gerardo Parra walked, Belisle retired Martin Prado on a short fly ball and struck out Paul Goldschmidt with a 1-2 curveball.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Diamondbacks rookie SS Didi Gregorius was beaned by Colorado reliever Josh Outman in the seventh inning. After spending a few moments on the ground, Gregorius walked off the field under his own power. He passed a written concussion test following the game. ... The Rockies' Rafael Betancourt worked a perfect ninth inning to record his eighth save in eight chances. ... Parra went 1-for-3 with two walks to extend his hitting streak to a career-best 11 games.
