Keith Wright and Corbin Miller each scored 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting as Harvard trounced Utah 75-47 Thursday at the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in Nassau, Bahamas.
Kyle Casey added 11 points for the Crimson (4-0), who will face No. 20 Florida State in the semifinals on Friday.
Harvard is the favorite to win the Ivy League after returning all key players from last season’s 23-win squad. The Crimson could be making their way toward Top 25 recognition if they can find a way to go deep in Nassau. No. 4 Connecticut looms as a possible matchup if Harvard can sneak past Florida State.
A rebuilding Utah (1-3) team could not match Harvard’s efficiency, as the Crimson jumped out to a 15-2 lead in the first 5:25. They stretched it to 34-9 when Wright knocked down a pair of free throws with 5:41 left in the first half and were never challenged.
Coach Tommy Amaker emptied his bench in the final minutes, giving all 15 players a chance to get into the box score.
The Utes, who were held to 37 percent shooting, will face Massachusetts on Friday.
