Jordan Taylor scored 30 points and Jon Leuer added 20 as No. 18 Wisconsin steamrolled Michigan State, 82-56, on Sunday afternoon in Madison, Wisc.
The Badgers (17-5, 7-3 Big Ten) took control with an early 14-2 run. Leuer capped that spurt with a 3-pointer that made it 24-11, and the Spartans never got back within single digits. Wisconsin shot 65.2 percent (15 of 23) in the first half as Taylor and Leuer, the Big Ten's top-scoring duo, combined to outscore Michigan State in the first half, 31-25.
An 11-0 run in the second period extended the Wisconsin lead to 66-33 with 11:38 remaining. The Badgers, the nation's top foul-shooting team, hit 25-of-26 shots from the line and also hit 11 of 17 (64.7 percent) from 3-point range.
Kalin Lucas finished with 20 points for Michigan State (13-10, 5-6), which has lost five of its last six games.
