A balanced effort and dominant second half lifted Oregon to a 75-52 victory over Texas Southern in a non-conference game at McArthur Court in Eugene, Ore.
Junior forward Tyrone Nared came off the bench to score a team-high 13 points with six rebounds for the Ducks (4-1).
E.J. Singler added 10 points, and Jay-R Strowbridge and Johnathan Loyd scored nine apiece. Overall, the Ducks shot 29 of 55 (52.7 percent) compared to 17 of 43 (39.5 percent) by the Tigers.
The Tigers held a 23-21 lead after Daniel King's tip-in, but the Ducks closed the half with a 12-2 run to take a 33-25 into the half.
Oregon didn't let up as Nared scored six straight points to key a 16-2 run for a 49-27 lead.
Kevin Galloway scored a game-high 18 points for the Tigers (1-4).
It does not figure to get any easier for Texas Southern as they play at No. 4 Kansas State on Friday.
The same could be said for Oregon, which will likely play its toughest two-game stretch of the season beginning Saturday when No. 1 Duke comes to McArthur Court, followed by a visit from No. 12 Missouri on Dec. 2.
