ATLANTA -- With the bases loaded and two outs in the ninth inning, Atlanta's Ender Inciarte went to the plate with the simple idea of putting the ball in play. That approach changed when the first two pitches sailed wide of the strike zone.

"I was actually swinging until I got to 2-0 and I saw he was really struggling to throw strikes," Inciarte said.

So the center fielder kept the bat on his shoulder and reliever Kyle Barraclough didn't come close on the next two pitches. His bases-loaded four-pitch walk scored Dansby Swanson and gave the Braves a 6-5 victory over the Miami Marlins on Saturday at SunTrust Park.

"I've never," Inciarte said. "It's something new to me."

Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said, "I'm not sure I've been part of one."

It was the second time in three days that Atlanta posted a walk-off win over the Marlins, and it was their eighth walk-off win of the season. Four of Atlanta's walk-off wins have come against the Marlins.

"It was one of those games you've just got to be patient and let them do something because they're the one in control," Inciarte said.

Kurt Suzuki led off the Braves' ninth with a single up the middle off Barraclough (5-2). Micah Johnson entered as a pinch runner and took second on a wild pitch.

"Suzuki got us going again," Snitker said.

After Swanson walked, Johan Camargo advanced both runners with a sacrifice bunt.

Miami manager Don Mattingly then brought Marcell Ozuna in from left field to form a five-man infield. Lane Adams hit the ball to shortstop Miguel Rojas, who threw Johnson out at home.

"Usually that point you're not in great shape," Miami manager Don Mattingly said. "We made a nice play there and fortunately their guy stayed at second base. We've got a couple of hitters to get out there. Obviously, we want to force them to swing the bat."

The Miami defense returned to a normal alignment for Nick Markakis, who walked to load the bases. Inciarte then looked at four straight balls, forcing home Swanson with the winning run.

The winning pitcher was Arodys Vizcaino (4-3), who pitched around a pair of walks to work a scoreless ninth inning.

The Marlins scored first on a solo homer by Giancarlo Stanton in the first inning. The home run, his major league-leading 54th of the season, was measured at 456 feet.

"I left it down right in his swing path," said Atlanta starter Max Fried. "He got a really good swing on it."

Miami scored three times in the fourth. J.T. Realmuto tripled in a run, then scored on Brian Anderson's single. Anderson went to third on a fielding error and scored when Miguel Rojas grounded out to the shortstop.

"We swung the bats pretty good," Mattingly said. "Up 4-0 and kind of just don't lock it down and they're right back in it."

The Braves answered with three runs in the bottom of the fourth, cutting the lead to 4-3. Camargo lined a two-run homer, his fourth, into the left-field bullpen and Adams singled and scored on a double by Ozzie Albies.

The Marlins made it a 5-3 lead with one run in the fifth. Christian Yelich doubled and scored on Realmuto's single.

The Braves got a run in the bottom half of the fifth. Suzuki singled and scored on a single by Camargo.

Atlanta tied the game 5-5 on Freddie Freeman's RBI single in the sixth inning.

Both starters were knocked out early.

Making his second major-league start, Fried pitched 3 2/3 innings and allowed four runs (three earned), six hits and one walk. He struck out three.

Miami's Adam Conley pitched 4 2/3 innings and allowed four runs, nine hits and two walks, striking out two.

"Pretty much been frustrating all year," Conley said. "Feel like my mind and all the work I'm trying to do during the week is good, I'm just physically not able to go accomplish what my plan is."
