White Sox 10, Rays 5: John Danks took a no-hitter into the sixth inning and Avisail Garcia homered twice as visiting Chicago ended a difficult year at home for Tampa Bay.

The Rays fell behind 10-0 and could never recover while finishing their home slate at 36-45 – the club's worst mark at Tropicana Field since it had the same record in 2002. They also suffered their 81st loss, which secures the franchise's first non-winning year since 2007.

Marcus Semien had a three-run shot and Alexei Ramirez drove in two runs for the White Sox, who claimed the season series 5-2. Danks (10-11) let up two runs and two hits while striking out five in six innings as he snapped a personal five-game losing streak.

Garcia opened the second with his first solo blast against Nathan Karns (1-1) and Semien belted a three-run homer in the frame to make it 4-0. Garcia also led off the sixth with a home run, setting off a six-run rally that put it out of reach.

Ramirez's two-run double made it 9-0 and Jose Abreu capped the uprising with a run-scoring single to left. Brandon Guyer broke up Danks' no-hit bid with a double in a two-run sixth and added a two-run single in the ninth to make the score more respectable.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Tampa Bay's run of six straight winning seasons was the third-longest in the majors behind the New York Yankees (21) and St. Louis (seven). ... Karns, who threw seven scoreless innings in his team debut on Sept. 12, was charged with six runs in five innings. ... Chicago finishes its road trip with three straight at Detroit beginning Monday. Tampa Bay has a day off before visiting Boston on Tuesday to begin a six-game road trip to end the year.
