Dodgers 8, Diamondbacks 1: Juan Uribe hit three of Los Angeles' season-high six home runs as the host Dodgers snapped a four-game slide and inched closer to clinching the National League West.
Uribe had solo shots in the second, third and fifth innings to become the first Los Angeles hitter to accomplish the feat since Andre Ethier on June 26, 2009. Ethier and Hanley Ramirez chipped in solo homers and Adrian Gonzalez added a two-run blast for the Dodgers, who opened a 12-game lead on Arizona and reduced their magic number to clinch the division to eight.
Ricky Nolasco (13-9) was the beneficiary of the power display as he won his seventh straight decision. The right-hander yielded only an unearned run and three hits while striking out six in 6 2/3 innings.
Randall Delgado (4-6) served up four of the home runs, including back-to-back shots by Ethier and Uribe to begin the second and Gonzalez's 20th of the season to make it 4-0 in the third. Uribe cranked his second shot to left one out later and followed Ramirez's blast in the fifth with a home run to center that put Los Angeles up 7-1.
Uribe, who had hit two home runs in a game nine times in his career, had an infield RBI single in his final at-bat in the seventh to cap the scoring. Didi Gregorius provided the lone run for the Diamondbacks with an RBI double in the fifth.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Delgado was charged with five runs and seven hits in 2 2/3 innings. ... The six homers are the most for the Dodgers since they slugged seven Sept. 18, 2006. ... Former Los Angeles OF Shawn Green, who hit four home runs against Milwaukee on May 23, 2002, was in attendance.
