White Sox 4, Rays 3: Alexei Ramirez drove in a pair of runs and Dayan Viciedo recorded three hits and an RBI as visiting Chicago completed the three-game sweep of Tampa Bay and kept rolling with its eighth straight win.

Alex Rios added two hits, including an RBI single, and four relievers combined to allow two runs in five innings, with Addison Reed working the ninth for his sixth save for Chicago. Nate Jones (3-0) got credit for the win.

White Sox starter Jose Quintana was ejected with two outs in the fourth after throwing behind Ben Zobrist. Rays starter Alex Cobb already had hit a pair of batters in the game, including A.J. Pierzynski in the previous frame.

Gordon Beckham, who was hit by Cobb (2-1) in the first inning, opened the scoring when he came in on Rios’ RBI single.

Tampa Bay tied it on Luke Scott’s solo homer in the second - his ninth - but the White Sox jumped on top again in the third. Viciedo’s single scored Rios from second and Pierzynski, who was on after being hit, came in on Ramirez’s sacrifice fly.

Ramirez’s RBI double in the fifth made it 4-1 and provided an important insurance run when Carlos Pena hit a two-run blast for the Rays in the sixth.

Cobb was charged with four runs and nine hits in five innings while walking one and striking out four.

GAME NOTEBOOK: White Sox manager Robin Ventura was ejected for arguing Quintana’s ejection. … Chicago CF Alejandro De Aza left the game in the sixth after he was hit in the leg by an errant pickoff attempt. De Aza, who was replaced by Brent Lillibridge, suffered bruising but is expected to return to action Friday. … Tampa Bay hosts a three-game series with the Baltimore Orioles over the weekend. The Rays and Orioles are battling for first place in the American League East.
