Orioles 10, Athletics 1: The Orioles jumped on Tyson Ross for nine runs in four-plus innings and Wei-Yin Chen tossed seven strong frames for his second win.
Chris Davis blasted his fourth home run and went 3-for-4 with four RBIs for Baltimore, which has won 56 consecutive games when allowing two or fewer runs.
After scoring five or fewer runs in each of their last 10 games, the Orioles broke out of their offensive slump with 14 hits against the Athletics.
The Orioles sent nine batters to the plate in the second inning, when they scored five runs on five singles. Ross (1-1) allowed nine runs on 11 hits over four innings.
Adam Jones and Robert Andino had three hits apiece for the Orioles, who added to their lead with three runs in the fifth inning.
Oakland scored its lone run on a Jonny Gomes’ solo blast in the sixth inning off Chen (2-0), who gave up one run on six hits with four strikeouts in his fourth major league start.
