Hideki Matsui had four hits and drove in a pair of runs and Guillermo Moscoso threw six strong innings as the Oakland Athletics cruised past the host Toronto Blue Jays 10-3 Thursday afternoon.
Matsui continued his sizzling second half, hitting a run-scoring single in Oakland's six-run third inning and adding an RBI base hit in the four-run sixth. The Japanese veteran is now hitting a blistering .432 (41-for-95) with 25 RBIs in 24 games since the All-Star break.
Moscoso (5-6) did the rest, limiting Toronto to two runs on three hits for just his second victory in seven road starts. He walked two and struck out six.
Blue Jays counterpart Brad Mills (1-2) was roughed up for six runs on five hits over just three innings. He and five Toronto relievers combined to issue nine walks on the afternoon.
Conor Jackson drove in three runs for Oakland, which took two of three from the Jays.
Rookie catcher J.P. Arencibia hit his 19th home run of the season in defeat.
