Ted Lilly pitched seven scoreless innings and the Los Angeles Dodgers held off another late rally by the host Arizona Diamondbacks for a 7-5 victory on Wednesday.
Arizona will meet the Milwaukee Brewers in a National League Division Series beginning Saturday in Milwaukee. The Brewers secured home-field advantage with a 7-3 victory over Pittsburgh earlier Wednesday.
Joe Saunders (12-13) gave up five runs over six innings for Arizona, which won the season series with Milwaukee 4-3.
Arizona, which scored six runs in the bottom of the 10th inning Tuesday to win 7-6, tried to rally Wednesday when Cole Gillespie hit his first career grand slam with one out in the ninth.
Henry Blanco followed with a solo home run before Kenley Jansen retired his only two batters for his ninth save.
Dodgers MVP candidate Matt Kemp finished as the National League leader in home runs with his 39th off Wade Miley in the seventh.
Kemp also led the league in RBIs with 126, and his .324 average trailed only New York's Jose Reyes (.337) and Milwaukee's Ryan Braun (.332).
Lilly (12-14) won his third straight start while giving up three hits with five strikeouts. James Loney hit his 12th home run for the Dodgers, who won eight of their last 11 games.
