The Giants shed their label as the NL's least potent team Monday, clubbing a grand slam, a 438-foot homer and three doubles in a 7-3 win at St. Louis.

Andres Torres' first career grand slam and Cody Ross' monster solo blast to left-center supplied an unusual amount of run support for Madison Bumgarner (2-6), who joined in the fun with a double and two runs scored.

San Francisco entered having scored 177 runs, just ahead of Minnesota's 175 for fewest in baseball. The Giants had totaled 14 runs over a 1-5 stretch preceding Monday's outburst.

St. Louis' Kyle McClellan (6-2) was tagged for all seven runs in four innings. The first-place Cards lost for just the second time in his 10 starts.
