Matt Hasselbeck threw for 333 yards and a touchdown and Olindo Mare kicked five field goals as the Seattle Seahawks cruised to a 36-18 victory over the host Arizona Cardinals on Sunday in a battle of NFC West rivals.
Marshawn Lynch and Justin Forsett added a short-yardage touchdown apiece as Seattle (5-4) snapped a two-game losing skid with its second win over Arizona in three weeks. The Seahawks posted a 22-10 triumph over the Cardinals on Oct. 24.
After missing last week's 41-7 loss to the New York Giants with lingering concussion symptoms, Hasselbeck excelled in the first half before injuring his left hand on a failed quarterback sneak attempt.
Charlie Whitehurst started the second half and completed 4 of 6 passes for 53 yards with an interception before Hasselbeck re-entered the game. Hasselbeck finished 22 of 34 with a 63-yard touchdown to Deon Butler.
Mike Williams had a game-high 11 receptions for 145 yards and Mare kicked field goals from 41, 34, 19, 23 and 19 yards out for Seattle.
Derek Anderson found Early Doucet for a 2-yard touchdown and Tim Hightower rushed for a 2-yard score for Arizona (3-6), which dropped its fourth consecutive game.
