Sophomore guard Jemarl Baker Jr. scored a career-high 17 points as Arizona earned its first road win of the season, defeating Washington 75-72 on Thursday night in Seattle.

Nico Mannion scored 16 points and Stone Gettings added 13 for the Wildcats (14-6, 4-3 Pac-12). Mannion also had five rebounds and five assists as Arizona improved to 1-4 on the road.

Freshman forward RaeQuan Battle came off the bench to score a team-high 14 points, including four 3-pointers, in 14 minutes for the Huskies (12-10, 2-7). Nahziah Carter scored 13 points, and Jaden McDaniels and Hameir Wright each had 12 for Washington, which took its fourth consecutive defeat.

The Huskies' leading scorer, Isaiah Stewart, was limited to nine points on 3-of-13 shooting but grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.

Baker, a transfer from Kentucky, made a 3-pointer with 44 seconds left to give the Wildcats a 74-72 lead.

Battle missed a 3-point attempt with 25 seconds left that would've given the Huskies the lead. Arizona's Dylan Smith made one of two free throws with 19 seconds to go to make it 75-72.

McDaniels turned over the ball in the backcourt on Washington's next possession, and Washington's Marcus Tsohonis came up short on a 3-point try with three seconds left that would have tied it.

The Huskies, who trailed by as many as 10 points in the first half, took a 57-48 lead on a dunk by McDaniels with 12:55 left, but he was called for a technical for taunting Arizona's Ira Lee after the play. It was McDaniels' third foul, causing him to be benched by coach Mike Hopkins, and Mannion's two subsequent free throws sparked a 7-0 run.

Washington kept the lead until Baker's 3-pointer with 4:17 left gave Arizona a 70-69 advantage.

The Wildcats took a 36-33 halftime lead, with Max Hazzard making a 3-pointer from the left wing with five seconds remaining.

The Wildcats scored the first six points of the game and built a 21-11 advantage midway through the first half.

The Huskies battled back, taking their only lead of the half, 31-30, on Battle's 3-pointer from the left corner with 2:21 left.

Baker made a 3-pointer on the Wildcats' next possession before Battle tied the score at 33-all with a driving layup.
