No. 6 Florida 64, Alabama 52: Erik Murphy scored 15 points and the host Gators used a 13-0 run late in the second half to win the battle for first place in the SEC.
Florida (23-5, 13-3 SEC) trailed 47-41 with 9:41 to go but held the Crimson Tide without a point for nearly seven minutes to open up a 56-47 advantage with 3:18 to play.
Kenny Boynton finished with 13 points. The senior guard hit a pair of free throws early in the game to move into second place on the school's all-time scoring list.
Alabama (19-10, 11-5) was led by Trevor Releford with 12 points while Trevor Lacey and Nick Jacobs each scored 11 points.
Florida led by as many as 11 in the first half and took a 29-26 advantage into the half. The Crimson Tide went on a 14-4 run in the second half and led 45-37 on a coast-to-coast drive by Releford, but Alabama got just two field goals in the final 10 minutes of the game.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Gators got back the services of Will Yeguete, Michael Frazier II and Casey Prather, marking the first time since before the start of the new year that Florida's top eight players dressed for a game. ...Billy Donovan is 5-0 all-time against Alabama coach Anthony Grant, his former associate head coach at Florida. ...Scottie Wilbekin finished with 11 points and Prather had 10 for the Gators.
