No. 24 Virginia Commonwealth 74, Dayton 62: Sophomore guard Treveon Graham scored a game-high 24 points as the host Rams prevailed in their first Atlantic 10 game.
Juvonte Reddic had 14 points and nine rebounds while Troy Daniels scored 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting from 3-point range for Virginia Commonwealth, which has won 10 straight.
The Rams (13-3) led the entire game, though never by more than five in the first half as Graham scored 15 points in the first 20 minutes. Dayton (10-5) pulled to within one with 15 minutes remaining, but Virginia Commonwealth scored the next seven points to get back in control.
The Flyers, kept in the game with decent shooting from 3-point range (42.9 percent), were paced by Kevin Dillard, who scored 17. Devin Oliver came off the bench to finish with nine while Dyshawn Pierre added eight points and eight rebounds.
Dayton turned the ball over 26 times, but managed to outrebound the Rams 39-27.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Graham, who had three rebounds and two assists, had his streak of double-doubles end at four games. … The Rams lead the series 4-1. … Virginia Commonwealth forced more than 21 turnovers for the sixth consecutive game and leads the nation in that department.
