Washington 66, St. Louis 61: C.J. Wilcox scored 27 points as the Huskies pulled away in the second half to end a two-game home losing streak.
Abdul Gaddy contributed 16 points and Aziz N’Diaye matched his season high with 14 for Washington (3-3). Wilcox, a 6-5 junior guard, shot 11-for-13 from the floor and 4-for-5 from 3-point range.
Cody Ellis scored 14 points, Rob Loe matched his season high with 13 and Mike McCall Jr. and Jordair Jett had 11 apiece for St. Louis (3-3).
The Huskies led by a point with 9:15 remaining. Wilcox and N’Diaye then scored all the points in a 10-0 run to push the lead to 11.
The Billikens scored five straight points to cut the deficit to four with 27 seconds remaining, but Andrew Andrews made 1 of 2 free throws with 19 seconds left and St. Louis didn’t get off another shot.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Huskies were coming off their first back-to-back home losses to non-conference opponents since 2000. ... The Huskies came into the week shooting 40 percent from 3-point range, which was 40th-best in the nation among Division I teams. They finished 6-for-10 from beyond the arc against Saint Louis… Washington senior G Scott Suggs missed his second straight game with a right foot injury, the same foot he injured last season, causing him to miss the season.
