Steven Pledger scored a game-high 17 points and Romero Osby added 15 in Oklahoma’s 64-55 win over Texas Tech.

Oklahoma won its second consecutive conference game after starting 0-3 and moved to 13-4 all-time against the Red Raiders at the Lloyd Noble Center.

Texas Tech fell to 0-5 in league play, the Red Raiders’ worst start since the 1999-2000 team began 0-8.

Freshman Jordan Tolbert grabbed an offensive rebound and his layup got Texas Tech within 48-47 with 4:12 left in the game. But the Sooners, who came into the game second in the Big 12 in free-throw shooting, hit 10-of-14 from the line, part of a 21-of-26 night, to help put the game away.

Pledger, who is fourth in the Big 12 in scoring at 17.3 points, picked up two fouls within the first five minutes of the game. While Pledger sat, the Sooners struggled finding points and missed 11 of their first 15 shots. Oklahoma started to find its offensive rhythm once Pledger returned, and the junior hit a pair of long two-pointers, part of a 13-4, half-ending run.

Javarez Willis had an excellent game off the bench for the Red Raiders, scoring a team-high 16 points, including 4-of-6 on 3-pointers.
