Tobias Harris scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, Ben Simmons scored 21 points and the host Philadelphia 76ers held off the Miami Heat 106-102 on Thursday.

Boban Marjanovic had 19 points and 12 rebounds for his fifth double-double this season while Jimmy Butler added 18 points. JJ Redick contributed 13 as the Sixers won without injured All-Star center Joel Embiid and reserve forward Furkan Korkmaz.

Dwyane Wade led the Heat with 19 points, Dion Waiters added 18 and Kelly Olynyk had 15.

Guard Goran Dragic, who appears to be getting close to returning from a knee injury, was listed as inactive.

Marjanovic had a strong first quarter with 11 points and seven rebounds as the Sixers bolted to a 29-21 lead.

Wade kept the Heat close with 11 points as they trailed 57-50 at halftime.

The Sixers were led in the first half by Marjanovic, who knocked down all six of his shots and had 16 points and eight rebounds.

The Heat committed only three turnovers but continued to put the Sixers on the free-throw line. The Sixers were 16 of 22 from the free-throw line.

Hassan Whiteside made a short runner in the lane, and Olynyk knocked down a 3-pointer to tie the score at 61 with 7:30 left in the third.

Justise Winslow's short jumper with 4:30 left in the third gave the Heat a 69-65 advantage.

The Heat went ahead without forward James Johnson, who sustained a left shoulder injury and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Simmons scored eight straight points late in the third, but the Sixers were behind 75-73 at the end of the quarter.

With the Sixers down 90-88, Redick and Harris each hit a 3-pointer and Simmons finished an alley-oop for a 96-90 Sixers with 5:01 left.

The Heat responded as Josh Richardson drained a trey from the top of the key to close within 96-95 with 3:39 remaining. Wade then made a turnaround jumper, and the Heat went back in front 97-96.

Redick's difficult, twisting 3-pointer with 1:04 left pushed the Sixers ahead 103-99, and they held on from there.
